Finish Line® Provides Update on Easywillow™ Reformulation and Industry Guidance
Finish Line® Horse Products has always been committed to transparency, horse welfare, and supporting trainers and veterinarians with responsibly formulated equine wellness products.
Recent discussions surrounding Kava-containing ingredients have highlighted the challenges that can arise during periods of evolving regulatory interpretation and enforcement within the racing industry. Easywillow™ products have always been openly marketed with transparent labeling and a focus on daily supplements formulated for the temporary relief of minor stiffness and soreness due to overexertion, including disclosure of Kava Kava through product information made available by Finish Line®.
As regulatory expectations surrounding Kava became clearer — including recent actions in California and under HIWU guidelines — Finish Line had already begun development of an updated Easywillow formulation designed to align with emerging compliance standards across jurisdictions.
To support our customers and industry partners, Finish Line® is introducing a reformulated Kava-free Easywillow with distribution beginning June 2026, while continuing to provide transparent ingredient information, website resources, and additional educational materials to help trainers and veterinarians make informed decisions.
We respect the role of regulators in protecting the integrity of the sport and the welfare of the horse. At the same time, we recognize the importance of clear communication and practical guidance for horsemen navigating rapidly changing rules.
