I’m proud to represent a company that stands behind their product with 100% satisfaction guarantee.”

Brandon Brant was born in the small Texas town of Weatherford in the fall of 1982, and was raised in Somerset, Pennsylvania where he met his first love: Ice Hockey. Playing hockey, taught Brandon about the rewards of hard work and dedication, as well as, sparking the competitive drive that continues to push him to run faster and slide further.

At the age of 15, he had an opportunity to ride a horse, and his true passion was ignited. Brandon attended the University of Findlay in Northern Ohio and rode under the supervision of Clark Bradley and Steve Brown. From that point on, he knew that he wanted to follow in the footsteps of “true horsemen” like NRHA Hall of Fame trainers Dale Wilkinson, Mike Flarida and Clark Bradley.

Graduating in 2005 with Bachelors degrees in Equestrian Science and Business Management, Brandon began his career working with mentors, Gabe Hutchins and Jordan Larson. Here he developed his distinctive style of training. He learned the “importance of being patient with the animals and letting them make mistakes while they are learning” from Larson, and he is convinced that this insight makes his training program stand out among the others. Brandon’s respect for the individuality of each horse keeps them confident while training.

In 2007, Brandon decided to go out on his own, starting Brant Performance Horses. In 2008, Brandon was reunited with college acquaintance, Cathy Calendine, a fellow Findlay Equestrian alumnus who would become his wife and business partner in 2010. There began the start of his incredible career. To date, Brandon’s current Life Time Earnings in the NRHA show pen total over $757,000. Brandon has reached major milestones and accomplishments, including: Quarter Horse Congress Open Level 4 Futurity Champion, multiple Congress Reining Championships, multiple NRHA Top 10 & Top 20 Open Professional Rider, NRHA Open Level 1 & 2 Derby Champion,  NRHA Derby Level 3 Reserve Champion, multiple NRBC and NRHA Open Derby & Futurity Finalists, NRHA Open Futurity Finals Top 5, Multiple NARS Open Futurity Champion, and many more.

Brandon will always find skills that he wants to work on – he appreciates the trials that make him a “better person, better trainer and a better horseman”. “When the challenges keep coming and the days are long and hard, he is quick to remind himself that “success doesn’t come overnight”. But, Brandon is dedicated to work hard, strives for quality and waits for the day that he will be looked at as being in the ranks of his heroes, NRHA Hall of Fame horsemen.
